The executive producer of Nikita has revealed that he is feeling optimistic about the show's chances of renewal. Speaking to TV Line, Craig Silverstein explained that he has started thinking about what would happen in the second season.

"[I'm thinking] good thoughts," he said. "I am feeling good about [a renewal]... Although we're not officially picked up for a second season, we have the plans for it and we know what it will look like."

Silverstein added that the first season finale will be "satisfying" but explained that the storyline will "carry into season two".

"Questions will be answered, but new ones are asked," he said. "There is some resolution, but things are not tied up. Everything shifts at the end." Melinda Clarke, who plays Amanda, recently revealed that she believes that the show will be picked up for a second season. - Digital Spy.
