This week's episode, "Echoes," is a big one for Amanda, as she puts Alex in a precarious position that could threaten to reveal some secrets that Alex would do anything to protect.

IGN spoke spoke to Melinda Clarke about what to expect this week and what she thinks about Amanda's overall point of view.

IGN: This week's episode looks to have some pretty intense material between Amanda and Alex.

Melinda Clarke: Well, I think we all know that Amanda has always thought that Alex was hiding something and she takes the opportunity, based on the last episode – and Alex being under the influence of opiates – to interrogate her and put her under a different kind of drug, used to treat opiate addiction. But at the same time, Amanda is using it as a tool to extract what she can from Alex's brain and, to a certain degree, it's very effective and successful. So you'll have to watch and find out what exactly Amanda gets from Alex. We're describing it is our Nikita Inception episode. It creates a sort of waking dream state and patients end up feeling or showing their deep fears or replaying dark moments in their life. So it can be very telling. But it's also up to Amanda to figure out exactly what's coming out of Alex. So it's a very dangerous place for Alex to be. It's Amanda doing what she does best.
